• The Almaden Lightning is a Competitive Girls Fastpitch Softball Summer and Fall Travel Organization under the Almaden Valley Girls Softball League, located in San Jose, CA.
• The Almaden Lightning is comprised of the very best players from the Almaden Valley Girls Softball League.
• The Summer season generally runs from Memorial Day weekend (end of May) through July. Practices may start sooner but will not conflict with player commitments to their current Spring teams.

• The Fall season generally runs from the beginning of September into Novemeber.
• Practice and game schedules vary by coach and division. Teams generally practice three days a week and play tournaments on the weekends. For Summer ball, most teams will play between 5-7 tournaments. The 8U will likely play 4-5 tournaments. For Fall ball, most teams will play 2-3 tournaments.
