AVGSL's main goal is to insure that the players are in a fun, positive environment while learning and expanding their softball skills. AVGSL promotes a sense of belonging for everyone. We emphasize teamwork and the sense of individual success that contribute to team sports. No player will sit out more than 2 innings during a game, thereby providing a player to make contributions to their team and participate in a large part of all activities.

Attention Parents You can Contribute to your Daughter's 2008 AVGSL Yearbook--See How! Softball season is chock full of great memories for both parents and our daughters. Whether it’s the first time our six year old swings with all of her might and connects or when our 12 year old scores the winning run in the bottom of the last inning to win a “big” game, memories are made with every pitch of the 2008 AVGSL season. Now you have a great opportunity to savor this season for years to come. AVGSL has teamed up with Section Sports to provide a 2008 yearbook free of charge to every player. This yearbook gives parents another opportunity to recognize your daughter’s season. Support your friends even after the regular seson ends AVGSL tournament teams have been formed. Almaden Lightning teams showcase our girls' skills and our league's commitment to developing softball players for life. The tournament teams are a blast and we do everything possible to maximize every player’s experience. AVGSL's main objective is to have fun, develop softball skills and win. We provide an environment where the players will improve their skills, increase their knowledge of the game and learn team sportsmanship, leadership and respect through responsibility and loyalty to their teammates.
