1st- League ONLINE Registration Begins

January 2012
21st- CANCELLED! FREE! League Sponsored All Players Clinic: Presented by the Santa Clara University Broncos Softball Team! Location Bret Harte.
Due to heavy rains, we have cancelled this clinic. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
Two Sessions open to ALL players:   10am to Noon    1pm to 3pm
Lisa Mize, head coach of the Santa Clara University Broncos softball team, returns with her staff and players for an all-skills clinic available to ALL players in ALL age groups. This clinic has been a favorite the past few years with many players, coaches, and parents. Bring your glove and cleats (tennis shoes ~OK) also bring your helmet and bat if you would like.  Players can come to either session or both sessions.
22nd- Last Day for Online Registration (Late Registration still available for a limited time)
22nd- Mandatory Player evaluation day: Bret Harte Field 6
10u- (Last name A-J) 9:00 am to 10:30 am / (Last name K-Z) 10:30 am to 12:00 noon
12u- (Last name A-J) 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm / (Last name K-Z) 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm
16u teams will be will be formed by a selection process once we have a firm player count.
10U and 12U Coaches, Evaluation Sheets will be sent to you no later than Friday 1/20. 
Please plan on attending so you will be prepared for Draft Night on 2/2.
28th- Field Mantenance Day: Bret Harte 9:00am - 12:00 noon.

February 2012
2nd- Draft Night 10U and 12U at the Almaden Valley Community Center (Camden Ave)
Only the Head Coach and named Assistant Coach may attend.
10U Draft – 6:30 to 8:00 
12U Draft – 8:00 to 9:30
4th- FREE! Beginners Throwing and Catching Clinic run by Larry Blair, AVGSL Player Development Rep and Staff. Location: Bret Harte 1
6U and 8U players . . . . . .  9:00AM -10:00AM
10U and 12U players . . . . . 10:00AM - 11:00AM
7th- Coaches Meeting 7:15 - 9:45 pm at the Almaden Valley Community Center (Camden Ave.)
8th- Start Practicing per schedule.
11th- Saturday Team Practice will be a League Sponsored All Players/Coaches Hitting Clinic run by Strike Zone Softball Organization.

6U – 9:00 to 10:15;   8U – 10:30 to 12:00;   10U – 12:30  to 2:15;  12U/16U – 2:30 to 4:15
12th- FREE! League Sponsored Coaches Pitching Clinic run by Cutting Edge Softball.
Location: Bret Harte Field 6. 9:00 am (Rain-Out: Clinic held at Cutting Edge Softball facility)
18th- FREE! Windmill Pitching Clinic For ALLL AVGSL Players. 
This clinic will introduce the windmill-style fastpitch technique to all players.
Run by Larry Blair, AVGSL Player Development Rep and Staff

March 2012
4th/11th/18th- Optional Pitching Group Lessons, offered by Cutting Edge Softball in 3 lessons. 
Lessons are funded by parents - Paid directly to Cutting Edge Softball.
$100 per player for 3 group lessons. Location: Bret Harte 6. The times for the lessons are yet TBD. 
10th- Opening Day at Graystone Elementary School at 10:30 am
TBD- PAL Inter-League Tournament (10U/12U/16U) - All teams play!

April 2012
