AVGSL's main goal is to insure that the players are in a fun, positive environment while learning and expanding their softball skills. AVGSL promotes a sense of belonging for everyone. We emphasize teamwork and the sense of individual success that contribute to team sports. No player will sit out more than 2 innings during a game, thereby providing a player to make contributions to their team and participate in a large part of all activities.

Come join the fun!!!

Thank s to all who tried out for this year’s 12U tournament team. The tournament team experience is really fun and good time. In addition to the team selections posted on the AVGSL website, I will personally call each player who is selected. The team meeting will be on Wednesday, May 7. We plan to play in 5 tournaments beginning Memorial Day Weekend and ending prior to July 4th weekend, unless we qualify for San Diego. We will play in one out of town tournament, Paso Robles, which we will stay in a hotel.

The goals for the team are as follows:
1. TO HAVE FUN
2. TO DEVELOP SOFTBALL SKILLS
3. TO BE COMPETITIVE

Practices will be held every Tuesday and Thursday. Some Mondays and/or Wednesday practices will be held primarily during the early part of the season to get us ready for the season.

The approximate costs for each player are $175 for the tournament entry fees and $100 for uniforms. The costs do not include travel costs to the out of town tournament. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me and thanks for coming to the tryout!
